I’m Kaliyah (kuh-lee-yuh); the forever evolving, imaginative storyteller inspired by philosophy, nature, and emotion. I have been dedicated to creating media since I was just a lassie. My primary mediums are photography and filmmaking, but you can always find me conjuring up new ideas - from my own magazines, to talk shows, to music videos. I find these mediums incredibly important for the purpose of documenting, reminiscing, and evoking new thoughts and emotions. I was born and raised in Oregon which is where I still reside, for now. I graduated in Multimedia Arts at Chemeketa Community College and I am currently a filmmaking student at Portland State University.
I am a mother to Luffy, my black cat, whom emotionally supports me through all the chaos of the world and being a creative. I am a Halloween fanatic, a cinephile, a bookworm, a thrift hunter, a foodie and I love camping!
I describe my style and interests as very eclectic and alternative - deeper meanings, random ideas, editorials, dark/spooky, bubbly/colorful, animals, food, landscapes, people, etc. If you ever have a strange idea, I'd love to bring it to life with you!
A big part of who I am is largely due to being around you and many others. I love connecting with people and I believe we all can learn from each other's perspectives to lead better lives! I look forward to connecting with you and hearing your story!
